So that’s it then.

This week I’ll be picking up Infinte Crisis #7 and that’ll be it for the foreseeable future. No more comics.

I’ll still be picking up the occasional graphic novel but the days of forking out for dozens of issues a month are long gone.

And it’s not just the number and price that’s the reason. Recently the quality of the stories and art has been litle short of dreadful.

And then there’s the constant crossovers and events.

And the variant covers.

ARRRGGGHHH!!!

Okay so I got fed up thinking to myself that I’ll finish it eventually.

Now that the new design is “live” I have no choice but to get the finger out and polish it off. (That’s polish the site, not the finger.)

There’s not much more to do; it’s really only a case of updating the comments pages with the new design and tinker with some odds and sods. And how do you like the new logo? Spiffy, isn’t it? That’s the wonder of having a wife who’s good at that kind of thing.

And tomorrow comments will be back on an occasional basis, but that’s hoping that I’ve got a fix in place to combat all the spam.

Well, this blog is hopefully an attempt at getting down my stories and thoughts about my novel, the notorious work-in-progress.

Also, in doing this blog I’ll encourage myself to get more of it done (more writing that is). I’ve been writing or, more accurately, failing to write for the best part of fifteen years and I’ve spent most of that good writing time daydreaming.

It’s not that I’m saying that daydreaming is a bad thing. Perhaps I should spend more time at work daydreaming and dedicate the rest of my day to writing…

And that’s because all my allocated home computer time have been sucked into playing GuildWars.

Oops.

But seeing as Ruthy has now discovered the time-sucking ways of the game, I’ll have a lot more time to get back into things I should really be doing, primarily WRITING.

But it’s almost there. Just some tinkering with the sidebars.

So much for finishing it for last Sunday…

One of the good things about having a few days off work is the chance to idly browse the net, something that doesn’t get done as much as I’d like inbetween all the Guild Wars and the writing attempts.

Well, I’ve happened upon a trailer for the new Clerks 2 movie. If it’s anything like the first one, I’ll love it.

Which reminds me, I’ll have to get aroung to watching Clerks again at some point…
