I’m forever puttering about with this bloomin’ site.

I’ve been using Wordpress for DesertOfZin for a goodly while now and although I’ve been though a few self built themes, it’s still not exactly as I would like it.

So the usual warnings apply.  If the page looks shonky in anyway then there’s a good chance it’s just me messing about with the theme again.  If the shonkiness (is that even a word?) continues then there’s a good chance I’ve made huge mistakes that I’m too blind to notice.

Just bear with me.

I’m quite pleased with my output while on holiday.  7000ish words is spectacular for me, and in such a short space of time too.

The only fear I have is in losing the pace.

However, after a lull over the weekend, I’m determined to pick it up again through the evenings this week.

It’s a new story, although I had every intention of continuing with my existing work (and I still do), but I wanted to try something as a fresh start and not be encumbered by anything that’s gone before.

And so far it has worked.

Let’s see how I fare by the end of the week.

I went from pale to red to slightly brown and back to red (as is the usual way of things).

I read loads of new books.  New for me at least.

I wrote over 7000 words of a new story.  Whoo!

Then we came back.  Boo!

Crete for two weeks!  Whoo!
