Arthur C Clarke dies at 90

Apparently he died after a cardio-respiratory attack.

A bit scunnered on hearing this but, truth be told, 90 is a fair age to reach.

It’s an odd one when an icon, someone whose work you grow up reading, dies.

Of course, I never met the man but I still feel the loss.  Strange.

Anyways, wherever you are in the cosmos Arthur, I hope you’re having one hell of a time…

DoZ - a quick update

I’ve been tinkering recently. No great progress on the word count, in fact I may actually have less!

But that’s okay, I have been away from the writing for a few weeks. Not deliberately, but the drive has been non-existent. Any attempt at writing has been painful and discouraging.

But after a wee chat with mrBen about writing practices and a reminder of something we tentatively planned before the new year I have a marginally renewed focus.

So last week I e-mailed a choice selection of friends with an edited version of Chapter One.  Always good to have feedback as you go…

And I’m hoping to have a complete next chapter by the end of the week.  Hoping…
