I picked up this game midweek – The Saboteur, by Pandemic Games – and I’ve already trawled through a quarter of it. Good game. And there’s a patch to download called The Midnight Show which, other than providing some useful game extras, makes the clothing of the dancers even skimpier then usual. Use your imagination. But there’s a lot more to the game than ‘look, titties!’

First off, it’s a cross between Grand Theft Auto and Assassin’s Creed. Well, that’s what a review I read said. I’d compare it more to Infamous as that’s the game I have the most experience of.

It’s epic. It’s a open world game, as in you can go anywhere (anywhere that has been unlocked but there are ways around that) and that includes all the climbing, and running and jumping you can handle. It’s set during the Nazi occupation of France, most of the gameplay centred in and around Paris.

It’s brilliant, one of the best games i’ve played yet for the PS3. I’ve spent a few days unlocking areas of the game, sniping German officers form afar and blowing zeppelins out of the sky. There have been lots of late nights this week.

Despite Pandemic Games being no more the game is still widely available. i’m sure the industrious among you could easily find a copy for less than a tenner.

My only complaint is not being able to steal a tank yet. I’ve been assured it can happen…

It’s a wonderful movie. Just wonderful.

It’s easily one of the best kids movies of all time. Certainly It’s one that I want Aurora to enjoy as she grows up.

But as we Ruth and I watched it (part of the streaming service we have from LoveFilm through our PS3 – it’s a wonder I ever leave the flat) we noticed that everything is set up for Charlie to succeed.

This was in our heads after watching one of the documentaries for Pixar’s Up. When discussing the end of the villain, the impact of his demise in the film shouldn’t overshadow the resolution for the main character. Simply, all aspects of the story serve the main character.

With this in mind, let’s go through a few thoughts.

With Slugworth, the shadowy man who always seems to be there during the interview to whisper his intentions re. the everlasting gobstopper to the unsuspecting youth, in three out of the five children he’s there at the television interview. For Verucca Salt he’s in the factory when the ticket is discovered. And for Charlie he’s in the tunnel between the candy shop and Charlie’s home.

Let’s think about that last one. He’s in the tunnel waiting for Charlie. How would he know to do that unless he had already been scoped out by Wonka? Unless the coin that caught Charlie’s eye had been planted there? Unless the candy shop owner had deliberately given him the right bar. UNLESS IT WAS ALL PART OF THE PLAN?

I’m willing to accept at this point that I’m over thinking this…

And I was just plain wrong.

I’l not give away any of the story other than the basics. It’s about an old man who one day decides to head up and out, attaching hundreds of helium ballons to his house to fulfil a childhood dream of relocating somewhere special and his adventure on the way. Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that but if I told you any more it would kind of spoil it for you. It’s, without a doubt, one of Pixars finest films, in fact one of the best films I’ve ever seen. Heartbreaking, touching and heartwarming all in one.

Not for me.

There was a bit too much pointless violence for my liking and it seemed confused about what kind of film it was trying to be. I’d elaborate but I’d rather block it out completely.

Meh, if you’ve seen it and liked it, good for you, if you haven’t seen it yet, I’d advise against it.

Shelly Godfrey ( a Number Six) arrives on the Galactica with damning evidence against Baltar.

Kara is back on her feet, kind of, and as grouchy as ever.

And as Baltar begs for help, President Roslin passes out and Doc Cottle runs to her rescue. Her cancer is running out of control. And then Baltar is brown-nosing Gaeta to get access to the evidence. Bad Gaius, bad!

And back on Caprica. Poor old Helo. I’d love for that guy to get a break. Right now he’s dragging Caprica Boomer around unaware that she’s a toaster.

Highlights? “No more mister nice Gaius.” hohoho!

Ooh, Cally is encouraging the Chief / Galactica Boomer canoodling. That can’t end well.

And are Cylons on board the Galactica? Yep, It’s a Doral (Number Five) and he’s just blown himself up! Messy boy. Caused three dead and thirteen injured.

They get the Master At Arms involved and tell her about the humanoid Cylons. And she gets her independent tribunal / investigation. Will this end well? Let’s hope not.

But questions are asked and fingers get pointed at the Chief.

Meanwhile President Roslin holds court with the reporters in the fleet about the humanoid Cylons.

And on Caprica? Caprica Six, a Doral and a Caprica Boomer are watching Helo closely.

Highlights? When the kangaroo court goes badly wrong and Adama smacks the Master At Arms down. Quality.

Adama wants Kara to train a new batch. And the last one she trained was Zac, who she passed because he was crap but they were doing the horizontal rumba. I can’t see him being happy when he finds out… Oh yeah, he does. Oops.

Oh, Boomer. Why are you soaking wet and have detonators in your jacket? And why are there many more missing from the arms locker?

And there’s Lee Adama, tortured by his memories of blowing up the possibly Cylon controlled Olympic Carrier way back in the previous episode.

President Roslin pops on board the Galactica for a pep talk and while the Virgon Express pulls alongside for water recycling, that crazy kid Boomer sneaks off for some personal time with the Chief. And then there a big explosion in the water tanks. Oh, Boomer you crazy kid, what did you do?

And there’s Billy and Dee, sitting in a tree, k i s s i n g. Well not really, but Billy’s getting nowhere fast telling her how nice her hair looks.

So, Galactica is venting all it’s water on the port side tanks into space. That can’t bee good surely?

And on Caprica Helo has fallen in with Boomer. Oh wait, isn’t Boomer on the Galactica. My… brain… hurts…

Episode highlights; Baltar you are quite, quite mad.
